A BLOG DEDICATED TO THE ORIGINS OF RELIGION
This website and its various blogs seek to inspire the individual looking to understand the human condition and psyche through a systematic understanding of religion and philosophy. This website wishes to encourage a freedom of thought, a guiding principle towards introspection, a reverence towards nature, and a feeling of connectedness.
This site aims to teach its readers how religion`s earliest conceptions are deeply rooted in the human psyche and how none of those conceptions have died off, but have become multilayered structures, as they are adapted to non-mutually exclusive competing religions, thus providing us with a rich cultural heritage that both surrounds us every day and stretches back to the earliest dawnings of human culture.
This website is radical in the sense that all preconceptions will be challenged. It is meant to show the believer, as well as all others, just how powerful religion is as a tool, being an amoral structure by itself. This helps not to underestimate its influence, nor to mock that which is not properly understood. The atheist will become acquainted with philosophical concepts such as Ideaism and Spinozism, and, if anything, will garner adequate knowledge of religion to better leverage oneself against its mistreated forms.
Readers will learn and understand a new form of language, being symbolism, to help escape from a literal understanding of the narrations, so that an understanding of the inherent philosophical value vouchsafed in the earliest religious records can be properly understood.
Religion involves more than just power and money, or rather, more than that of money-hungry individuals bent on docile complacency through the use of mandates supposedly handed down to elected officials by a judicial, authoritative father-figure. It involves a lot more than a reconstruction and affirmation of sacred narratives as to times, places, names, and events in order to feel a deservedly satisfactory mental fervor towards oneself and nature, seeing as the narratives follow symbolic typologies more so than history.
Those with philosophical inclinations will be able to see how inextricably linked philosophy and religion is to biology, and how therein lies an interplay between “inner” and “outer” events, being so entrenched that it begs the question of “essence” once more.
Many of the topics to be discussed are ignored or suppressed within academia, and so this website aims in loosening the ability certain power structures have in suppressing this information.
There are at least 1.5 billion Catholic believers on this planet. That is just one sect belonging to one religion. How many of those individuals might one surmise have a proper understanding of religion, not just their own? The more one knows the harder it is for others to lie. No one can take the education out of you, and education provides a significant leverage against all sorts of maladies, sufferings, and circumstances. Since religious symbolism and thought is deeply rooted in the human psyche, it should serve everyone`s interest to know how these psychological structures are used and presented to us beyond church edifices and services.
